Frequently Asked Questions

How requests, file requirements, validation, and plans work in DropAsset today.

Getting started

DropAsset is an advertising asset intake platform. A publisher creates a request with requirements, shares it, and the advertiser uploads without an account. DropAsset validates the files and keeps the original plus a Ready-to-Use file when a safe fix applies.

Publishers, media sales teams, agencies, and similar teams that collect campaign files from external partners.

Sign in with a magic link, open the dashboard, and create a request. Add the asset slots you need and set the requirements for each one.

No. They open the public request link and upload without creating a DropAsset account.

Requests and requirements

Every request has a public upload link you can copy. On Pro, Team, and Enterprise you can also email the request and send a manual reminder.

An active request is one that has not yet been completed. In DropAsset that is a request still in progress. Completed requests do not count. Free includes 3 active requests, Pro includes 15, and Team includes 35. Enterprise limits are custom.

Yes. A request can include multiple asset slots, each with its own requirements.

Yes. A slot can accept more than one file, up to the file count you set.

Each slot can use exact dimensions, an aspect ratio, or no dimensions. You can also set formats, a maximum file size, a file count, a landing URL, and publisher instructions.

Files and formats

JPG, PNG, WebP, and PDF are available on every plan. GIF is available on Pro, Team, and Enterprise, with the animation preserved.

Yes. PDF is available on Free as well as on paid plans.

GIF is available on paid plans. DropAsset keeps the animation. Safe AutoFix applies to supported still images, not to GIF.

Yes. Each slot can require a maximum file size. Direct uploads also have a platform limit of 50 MB per file.

The slot does not require a pixel size or an aspect ratio. Format, file size, and the other requirements you set still apply. This is useful for a PDF or a file that does not have a placement size.

Validation and Ready files

DropAsset validates the upload. If it cannot be fixed safely, the slot needs attention and the advertiser can replace the file.

For supported still images, DropAsset can downscale, compress, or convert the file when that does not change the intended composition. It does not crop, stretch, or upscale.

No. Safe AutoFix does not crop, stretch, or upscale an image to force it into a size.

Yes. DropAsset keeps the original upload. When a safe fix applies, it also prepares a Ready-to-Use file. Ready is the status for a file that passed validation.

Sharing and email

On Free, you share the public upload link. Pro, Team, and Enterprise can also send the request by email.

Pro, Team, and Enterprise can send a manual reminder. DropAsset does not run an automated reminder sequence.
