Within the slot
Original upload still kept.
What it will not do
The composition stays intact
If a safe path does not exist, the file is not forced. The slot stays in Needs attention so the advertiser can replace it.
No crop
No forced crop to invent a new frame.
No stretch
No distortion of the creative.
No upscale
A small file is not enlarged to fake a larger size.
Needs attention
A file that cannot be fixed safely stays there.
From requirement to a Ready file
01
The publisher sets the slot: size rule, formats, and file size.
02
The advertiser uploads from the request link, without an account.
03
DropAsset validates the file against that slot.
04
If a still image can be fixed safely, Safe AutoFix downscales, compresses, or converts it.
05
The publisher gets a Ready-to-Use file, and the original upload remains.
Formats and limits
JPG, PNG, and WebP can be checked as still images. PDF stays a document. GIF is a paid-plan format and keeps its animation. Publishers set the maximum file size on the slot. The platform also caps a direct upload at 50 MB. Safe AutoFix processes supported still images up to 15 MB. A larger file is not auto-fixed and needs attention.
The original stays
A safe fix does not replace the advertiser upload. You can preview and download the original, and the Ready-to-Use file when processing applies.
Safe AutoFix questions
Safe AutoFix prepares a supported still image when DropAsset can downscale, compress, or convert it without cropping, stretching, or upscaling.
Supported still images: JPG, PNG, and WebP, when the change stays inside the slot and within the size Safe AutoFix can process (15 MB). PDF is not turned into an image. GIF on paid plans keeps its animation and is not treated as a still to be resized.
No. DropAsset does not crop to force a fit. If the image cannot be made to match without a crop, stretch, or upscale, the slot needs attention.
No. Safe AutoFix does not upscale.
The original upload is kept. When a safe fix applies, DropAsset also prepares a Ready-to-Use file.
Validation can pass without a fix. Ready then refers to the file that met the slot. Nothing is cropped or stretched to create a second version.
Direct upload allows files up to the platform maximum of 50 MB, and a request can set a lower maximum. Safe AutoFix image processing applies to supported still images up to 15 MB. A larger file is not auto-fixed and needs attention.
Safe AutoFix is the processing described here: downscale, compress, or convert when that does not change the composition. It is not a generative editor, and it does not invent a new layout.
Try it on a real placement
Set the slot, share the link, and let validation plus a safe fix handle the files that can be prepared without a redesign.
