Original
Advertiser upload
The file the partner sent. It is kept whether or not a later fix was possible.
Preserved
Originals and Ready-to-Use files
The upload stays. When DropAsset can prepare the file safely, you also get a Ready-to-Use version for the slot.

The file the partner sent. It is kept whether or not a later fix was possible.
Preserved
Ready-to-Use
The prepared file when a safe fix applies. If no processing was needed, Ready is the file that already passed.
A prepared file is useful for the placement. The upload is still the file the partner sent, for a question, a replacement, or a placement that needs the source.
When processing applies, it is a downscale, compression, or format conversion that does not crop, stretch, or upscale. Safe AutoFix describes those limits. If the upload already meets the slot, there is no second file just to show a status.
A PDF remains a PDF. DropAsset does not rasterize it into a banner. GIF on a paid plan remains an animation. Ready, for those files, means they passed the checks that apply to that slot.
The publisher previews and downloads from the request. Files stay in private storage.
It is the file prepared for the slot when a safe fix applies. Ready is also the status for a file that passed validation.
No. DropAsset keeps the upload the advertiser sent.
Validation can pass without creating a separate processed image. Ready then refers to the file that met the requirement. The original upload is that file.
You keep the original and also get a Ready-to-Use file. Preview and download are available to the publisher on that request.
No. A PDF stays a PDF. DropAsset does not turn it into an image.
The publisher previews and downloads from the request. The advertiser reaches the request through its link, not through an open public file URL.
Uploads stay in private storage. They are not published as open files.
Create a request and keep both the upload and the prepared file when a safe fix applies.
